Regular season high school sports action in Salem County got underway Monday with the Woodstown girls tennis team dropping a 5-0 match to Clearview. The high school football regular season starts for county teams Thursday with Pennsville hosting Woodstown.

Clearview won all five matches in straight sets.

“Clearview is a very strong team, possibly the strongest in our area,” Wolverines coach Jesse Stemberger said. “I was pleased overall with the effort of our girls. The Pioneers were just better than we are.”
